This is easy to mix up with Art Inn or Terminal Inn, which are both a short walk away, so make sure you've got the right one. My room was small but comfortable, and I never felt cramped. The vending machines have a limited selection, though there are plenty of shops nearby. The buffet wasn't huge either, but there was still a good variety to choose from. Everything was very clean, although the elevator had a slight old cigarette smell. I'd happily come back for a solo trip or a small business visit to Niigata.

The location puts most things about a 10-20 minute walk away, while sightseeing spots are farther. We didn't need much from the staff, so I can't say much about the service. The Wi-Fi was unstable and needs an upgrade. We had three beds and plenty of room. The place is ancient but clean, the refrigerator worked pretty well, the AC cooled enough, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom sink is old and the bathtub/shower is kind of small. They provide shower gel, body wash, and towels, and the toilet is nice.

It's cheap, close to the station, and the staff are friendly. My room's Wi-Fi signal was weak, though, and the air conditioner didn't cool well. I still felt hot with it set to the coldest temperature.

The room was good and clean, and the staff seemed nice from what I could tell. It's also not far from the main station.

Small, but it has what smart travellers need.
