One More Time

I liked the quiet, clean room and the Western food was delicious. The cypress bath rim had just been replaced, so it smelled great. A morning soak with birds singing outside felt like a real luxury. I stayed about a year ago, possibly in room 101 or 102, which was rented as a whole building. As a smoker, I chose the place because I wanted a terrace where I could smoke and Western meals rather than Japanese food. The awkward part was the terrace setup. The seating was next to the neighboring building's terrace and close to both buildings' entrances, so whenever people came outside or passed through, we'd run into each other. It didn't feel private, and I wish the area shown in the photo had a partition. Non-smokers probably wouldn't use the terrace, so I don't think it would bother them.

We've come here many times for anniversaries and other special occasions. You can rent an entire house, and the facilities are excellent, with both indoor and outdoor baths. They bring cakes and alcoholic drinks to the room, and the service makes the place feel more like a private villa than a guesthouse. Dinner is excellent in both quality and quantity. The dining area is an easy walk away, and partitions make it feel private without much awareness of other diners. I highly recommend staying here.

We brought my in-laws here for our 50th wedding anniversary. My father-in-law has a chronic illness and usually doesn't eat much, and they're both elderly, but they found the food so tasty that they finished everything. My mother-in-law was surprised by that. The owner was warm and made it a lovely trip for them. Thank you for everything.

The staff were wonderful, the meals were delicious, and it was excellent value. We stayed in a private villa with a loft-style bedroom, which felt spacious and relaxing. It also had an outdoor bath. It wasn't a hot spring, but we were still very happy with it. I'd definitely visit again if I get the chance!
