Daiichi Business Hotel Takeso

For a quiet, relaxing stay, either of the two hotels is a great choice. Everyone here is friendly, and I can’t think of anything negative to say. It’s a good old-fashioned business hotel, the kind the world could use more of.

There’s no real comfort here, and the front desk service didn’t feel customer focused. The room facilities are rough: an old TV with an odd tuner and no HDMI, plus a refrigerator that’s closer to an ice pack than a proper fridge. The bathroom had a strange smell, and the parking lot is tiny. Sure, maybe the price is low, but it feels like guests are getting a raw deal. The nearby convenience store is a relief, though that’s got nothing to do with the hotel, lol. I’d recommend this place to someone on a long business stay. 💧💦

For the price these days, it’s still acceptable, though the facilities and distance from Nishio Station make it seem a little expensive. The building has that nostalgic Showa-era business hotel feel and is quite old, but it wasn’t too inconvenient. The room fridge was tiny, just enough for one or two plastic bottles. I considered using it, then opened the door and found a poached egg that a previous guest had apparently left behind. That made me hesitate to put anything in there.

You get what you need here, and the breakfast was more than satisfying. They even served real coffee. The staff were very polite, too. There’s a convenient mall about a five-minute walk from the station, so picking up drinks or dinner is easy. At 6,150 yen with breakfast and coffee included, I’d say you’d need to spend quite a bit more at another business hotel to be disappointed here.
