Altitude Nozawa

There’s a free shuttle bus to the gondola and into the village, plus pickups and drop-offs for check-in and check-out. Breakfast comes with the rooms and was delicious, served from 07.00 - 10.00. The rooms had plenty of space for luggage and hanging things, and staff were friendly and helpful. The lodge is at the top of Nozawa Onsen village, with all guest rooms on the second floor. Downstairs are the dry room, lobby, dining room, and TV area.

The team at @Altitude Nozawa really went out of their way to help me after I got injured on this trip. I found everyone extremely helpful. Getting around was easy thanks to the courtesy bus and local shuttle buses. There’s also a spacious common area where we could play a family game or have a drink together. Thank you to the team!

There were five of us sharing two rooms, each with three beds, so it was a bit squishy, but we mostly just used the rooms to sleep. The large shared breakfast and lounge area turns into a bar at night, and the staff were very nice and helpful. Before the free town shuttle started on 23/12, they were happy to drive us around and pick us up when we arrived. The shuttle stop is right outside the lodge. Most of the time, the walk to and from town was fine anyway. We had a great stay at Altitude and would love to return.

I felt really relaxed in the well-heated room, with its great layout and lounge area. The scenery was fantastic, and the location was perfect, very close to town. Friendly staff, a night shuttle bus, and hot brekkie were all big pluses. Absolutely recommend Altitude, thanks!
