We’ve stayed at Numazu’s Prezio Hotel for the second time, and the staff were very friendly. We especially enjoyed chatting with the kitchen staff. The breakfast suits local tastes more, unless you like washoku, but we loved the Japanese home-style dishes, especially the Aji hiraki. It’s good value, with lots of nearby eateries and a few convenience stores, and only a short drive to the local port and other attractions. The rooms are relatively large compared with major city hotels in Japan, and the clean bathroom is big, with a shower beside the bathtub. Service is impeccable. If you don’t need room cleaning, they leave the amenities and bath towels outside your door. They even set out kids’ slippers and toothbrushes for our three young boys. Thanks for having us. We hope to see you again soon, Shizutetsu Hotel Prezio Numazu! Thank you for everything。

The beds are a great size for tall people, and there’s plenty of room around the toilet and bathroom. A few hooks placed around the bathroom would be useful. There’s also a huge blank wall above the toilet where they could add another towel rack.

I picked Shizutetsu Hotel Prezio Numazu because it had the highest rating I found near Numazu Station. After five nights, I found the room neat and clean, which matters a lot to me, and the surroundings were peaceful and quiet. The staff spoke good English and were helpful. There’s a tub in the room, and free onsen powders are available on the concourse, so you can enjoy an onsen in your own room. The canteen is bright and clean, and with a breakfast ticket you can try a local fish dish, though the choices are limited. My only suggestion is to let the vending machine accept digital payments like an IC card and offer snacks or instant noodles. Neither is a major problem. The hotel also takes visitors’ suggestions seriously and replied to most comments posted online. Listening to guests should help it keep improving.

Mr Egawa personally helped welcome us, and Mr Jivan went out of his way to sort out a problem we had. Everyone at the hotel made us feel welcome. The place is wonderfully hospitable, and I’d love to return. I’m sorry we leave tomorrow, since I’d happily stay a few more days. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a beautiful, well-equipped bathroom that combines modern conveniences with traditional Japanese purity and hygiene. Spotless towels, fresh sheets, and softly arranged pillows add to the look. Thank you. Arigato Gozaimasu.

Having a car made things convenient for us. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were able to check in late.
