Hotel Urban Port

The beach is right across the road, and it was very quiet. Breakfast was great, and the beds were comfortable, though the pillows were firm. The hotel and rooms have an old-fashioned, dated feel. There is a public bath in the hotel next door that guests can use, and the staff were very helpful.

The room, particularly the balcony, felt a little worn, but the location and service were fantastic. The staff took extra care of us beyond what I'd usually expect, and that made a real difference. Thank you!

We booked by phone the night before, since this was an unplanned stay. The receptionist was pleasant and asked about our arrival and whether we wanted dinner and breakfast. He also checked if sashimi would suit us. I could have it, but my husband couldn't, and that question helped make the stay more enjoyable. Our waitress was lovely, fun to talk with, and communicated in both Japanese and English. After checkout, we met the owner, who kindly gave us a ride to the station. The location is great, between the historic district and the beach right across the street. Lovely place, and we look forward to coming back.

I was here on a business trip. The building and rooms are clean, though clearly old. I chose the breakfast plan and ate in the first-floor restaurant, where you can pick either Western or Japanese food. I went with Japanese. The ocean view was nice, but people walking right outside made dining feel a little awkward. 😅 The bath is in the neighboring building, which isn't connected, so you have to go outdoors to get there. ♨️ An izakaya within walking distance was handy in the evening. 👌
