We loved using the house bikes to explore the outskirts of town, and Masoko-san also put us in touch with local workshops. The house is clean and lovely, right in the middle of everything. Masoko-san was kind, patient, and generous with us. Yururi Guesthouse is a great base for Yunotsu, whether you're going to the hot springs, shrines, or local workshops. Yururi is simply awesome!

A lovely little escape from city noise. It's a big house with lots of rooms, nicely furnished, and the price isn't bad. Highly recommend it.

The staff took time to kindly explain what Yunotsu has to offer, which I really appreciated. I wish I'd arrived a little earlier. I stayed at Mori, where the room seemed to be arranged with atmosphere in mind. It is a guesthouse with lots of shared facilities, though I didn't use them, so I can't comment on those. The walls are thin. If you're unlucky, a guest next door may wake you with their snoring, so earplugs are a must. You can even hear something being dropped, possibly from the floor above. It wasn't the inn's fault, but I didn't find it especially relaxing, since the experience seems to depend on luck. I probably won't return.

The rooms have air conditioning and comfortable bedding, and there's a shared kitchen you can use. This is a renovated old house with four Japanese-style guest rooms and a shared bathroom, close to a public hot spring. It's a handy choice if you're visiting for the hot springs. Restaurants are nearby, but they often close on weekdays, so preparing meals in the neighboring town may be a better idea. The stairs are narrow and steep, so large suitcases are awkward to carry up. Since the rooms open onto the hall through sliding doors, it's best to keep noise down. An extension cord is useful for charging.

The reception staff were polite and helpful, and I'd like to stay again. The place was inexpensive and on my route, so I booked it. Inside, everything was very clean, including the well-kept toilets and washrooms. Even with just a room, the interior felt as beautiful as a high-class ryokan. One thing to know: as the website says, the second-floor doors opening and closing can be heard quite clearly. There are insects too. If shared toilets and facilities are fine with you, I highly recommend it.
