Tabi no Yado Oosuda

Whenever I’m in Okushiri on a business trip, I stay at this inn. The young chef and his wife make delicious food, and the rooms are clean and beautiful. I have no complaints. If you’re staying in Okushiri, Osuda is definitely the place to choose.

The young owner and his wife are friendly, and this is a great inn. The entrance, hallways, and rooms are all kept in very clean condition. Like other guests have mentioned, the food is delicious. It’s a really good place to stay.

I visited in summer and found this to be a very kind inn, run by a friendly couple. It’s right in front of Okushiri Elementary School, and you can see the sea from the inn. They let me dry my swimsuit in the boiler room. For anyone who loves sea urchin, the meals, all centered around it, are a dream come true.

Dinner at 6 pm was wonderful. Sea urchin season had already passed, but the steamed sea urchin in the hot pot was superb, as was the rice porridge at the end. We’ll definitely come again. This was my third trip to Okushiri Island. I’d stayed at Hotel Midorikan on my first two visits, but this time I wanted a guesthouse, and reviews led me to choose Osuda. The young owner who picked us up at the ferry terminal was quiet but very pleasant. The young proprietress greeted us with a lovely smile and was just as kind. The guesthouse is run by a family of six, the husband, wife, and their two grandchildren. They kindly accommodated our request to arrive from Setana at 3:30 pm, and even lent us their car so we could visit Kamuiwaki Onsen. The guesthouse, rooms, baths, and toilets were spotless, and we had a very comfortable stay. Thank you so much!
