We weren't staying there, but a very kind gentleman noticed us heading up looking unprepared and lent us a bell to help warn off bears in the forest. We left the bells on the little table by the entrance. Hope you found them, and thanks so much!

The owners were welcoming and helpful, and gave us plenty of ideas for places to eat nearby. Nash and Boss, their two dogs, were lovely and super friendly too. We had a wonderful time at this mountain lodge and hope to return on another hiking trip. We arrived early after cutting our hike short in April because the trail still had deep snow and we didn't have the gear to continue. The owner hadn't expected us so soon, but kindly let us check in anyway. The place was clean and comfortable, and the hot bath felt great after hiking.

We stayed one night, no meals. The kids loved all the toys and had a great time. That uphill drive to the parking lot was a little scary, though! lol

We were a family of four, and it was a real treat to ski straight to the lodge since it's on the resort's forest road course. Everyone was friendly, and the owner and staff helped us out with rental and ticket information ahead of time. The meals were all good, and the lodge has fun, unusual touches that made the stay feel different from a hotel. There aren't toilets in the rooms, but there are several shared ones, including separate men's and women's facilities. Depending on how busy it is, you may be able to have the bath to yourselves as a family, which worked out fine for us. The only downside was the futon mattress, which felt a bit thin and could be uncomfortable if your back is bad. They do have rooms with beds as well.

There's a drying room, and you can get back here straight from the course, so it's a good spot for people into snow sports. The women's bath is small, though, with room for only three. At dinner, the owner chatted with everyone without playing favorites, and I could see why so many families with kids stay here. They seemed strict about preventing accidents, but I appreciated being told about the rules.
