The ground-floor apartment had so many thoughtful touches, from free snorkelling gear and children’s floats to slippers for indoors and outdoors, coffee, ice, towels, a drying rack, and parking. It’s right by the beach, so you can wake to the waves and be in the ocean within a few steps. I also liked having breakfast or working at the courtyard bench facing the water. The apartment is in quiet Tancha, about a 5-10 minute drive north of the resort, restaurant, and bar area in Maeganeku. The water outside has a grassy seabed, mostly sea urchins with small patches of coral, if you snorkel. I booked through Airbnb and had a small check-in issue. I believe a company manages the apartment, and nobody was on site. I went to the wrong apartment and could open it with the same password. It would be better if each apartment had its own password.

Breakfast portions at these hotel apartments are generous, and the garden is nice, with direct access to a beach full of nature. SUPs, canoes, and kids’ beach toys are free to use. The main drawback is the busy road outside, which night-time motorbike racers seem to like. Bring earplugs.

The tub overlooking the ocean was my favorite part of the room. We were comfortable during our stay and really enjoyed the breakfast. The room had a wonderful feel and was amazingly clean, and the owner and staff were kind and welcoming. I’d recommend this place wholeheartedly if you’re in the area.

The hotel has a great view from both the room and shower room, and there’s plenty of space inside. The owner went out of their way to meet our needs, with really good, personal service. It’s a great choice for anyone who loves the beach and sea. Highly recommended.
