Key West Club Okinawa

My room smelled like an old saloon, and the sheets had huge stains and lots of holes. A terrible experience.

I really liked this hotel. The service was good, and the place felt safe. It's close to the beach, a restaurant, and a convenience store, and the staff were polite.

It's a great base for heading either north or into central Okinawa. Kingetsu Soba is close by, there's a convenience store, and you can walk to the beach. The pool is right outside the rooms, with a separate one for toddlers, which was fantastic. The place is old and the bathrooms and other facilities can be a bit dirty, so it may not suit anyone who can't handle older places. But it's incredibly cheap, the staff and owner are lovely with kids, and I thought it was a great stay for the price.

The best thing was how quickly I could get to the pool after opening my room door. Room 111 was just a few steps away. The soup at breakfast was tasty, maybe homemade, but the meal itself was very basic, just lettuce on bread. It was bland, so I ate only half. A dog-like smell lingered from reception into the room. The hotel is old, and I wish they took more care with cleaning because of that. The room devices were old too, which added to the unclean feeling. The fridge door faced an awkward way, the Wi-Fi signal was poor, and the room didn't have a washlet. I'd told them my arrival time, but unlike the hotel I stayed at the day before, the air conditioning wasn't on when I got in.
