We’ll definitely want to return with the whole family. The staff were kind and helpful, and it’s a beautiful place. Renting a car is the easiest way to get around the island.

A lovely villa compound that works especially well for couples or families. Each house has a jacuzzi, and some also have a private pool. Service was excellent, and the staff spoke English well. There’s plenty of parking, and a gas station right next door.

The villas have loads of room, both indoors and outside, which is a big step up from a standard Japanese hotel room. Ours didn’t have a pool, but it did have a jacuzzi. The shower was spacious, with several settings and strong pressure, and there was a fridge and freezer, sink, microwave, and dishes to borrow. It has a nice mix of hotel support and private Airbnb-style space. Staff are available around the clock, but the villas themselves are quiet and secluded, with daily housekeeping available. Breakfast came with our rate and was brought in and set up each morning at whatever time we chose. The Japanese and western dishes changed a little each day. They also checked on dietary needs and allergies, which I appreciated. The location made things easy. A big Lawson open 24 hours is just across the road, and you can walk there. The villas are set back in a peaceful spot, yet beaches are nearby and Yomitan is about a 15 minute drive away for more places to eat. Everyone at Yumiha was so kind and happy to help with whatever we needed. It’s hard to believe this place won’t get much more popular. I’m already thinking about booking another trip a year from now to secure today’s rate 😂

The pool area could use some attention. It felt underused, and I wanted to swim, but bees and other little creatures on the bottom put me off. A few light meals or snacks there would be nice, and there weren’t any parasols, maybe because of the season. Trip.com said children under 12 weren’t allowed, yet I saw kids and people with strollers, so the rules seemed fairly relaxed. Otherwise, I had a really good stay. The staff were warm, the room was spacious, the jacuzzi was great, and the bedroom was comfortable enough for me to sleep very well. I’m sensitive to subtle energies and careful about where I stay, and this place felt fine. I’ll definitely return on another Okinawa trip. Given all the surrounding nature, I expected more bees. It wasn’t too bad: I spotted one lizard by the window and about two wriggling creatures on the terrace, which I could live with. For a sunset, I’d drive to Hoshino Resorts' Banta Cafe. It was absolutely beautiful ✨
