The hotel sits in a quiet, beautiful bay area, and the modern building looks great. From my room, I could lie on the bed and enjoy the stunning view over the water. The public bath and swimming pool are next door, with an indoor passage connecting them to the hotel. Guests at uminpia hotel can use the facilities for free, and it was handy to head to the spa in room wear and slippers. Breakfast at the restaurant was good.

The room was clean, and the large windows made it easy to enjoy the ocean view. All the staff were kind and welcoming. We really enjoyed breakfast, which was Western-style, though we could also choose rice and miso soup. The swimming pool next to the hotel requires a swimming cap.

The hotel area is convenient, with a convenience store, supermarket, and restaurant about five minutes away. The hospitality was great, and the setting was excellent. Every room has an ocean view. The bath also overlooks the ocean, except in the semi double, double, deluxe twin, and western japanese style room.

The service was friendly and great, and we felt safe because of the COVID19 measures. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious and well worth the price. The area is quiet, with a drug store, supermarket, home center, and seaside promenade nearby. There aren't many places to eat within walking distance, so without a car the hotel restaurant is probably your best bet. We picked this hotel for a comfortable, spacious room with a view, and it delivered: the view from every room is amazing. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area.

We didn't have a car, so getting around wasn't very convenient. It was winter too, and the days felt really short. Still, the hotel and its facilities deserve five stars, and the view from our room was great.
