Garner Hotel OSAKA HONMACHI STATION by IHG

The location worked really well for our two-night stay in February 2026. We were about two and a half blocks from Honmachi/ Hommachi station, and exit 15 is worth trying. There were plenty of places to eat and convenience stores nearby, with Dontombori, fancy shops and car showrooms a few blocks away. We had a two-twin room, small just as advertised, with storage space under the beds and a little gap to walk between them. The mattress was firmer than I like, but there were both firm and soft pillows. The blackout blinds could be adjusted to let light in or darken the room. There was a slim desk with a small stool/ ottoman, a lockable safe and a tiny fridge. The bathroom was tiny but usable, with a big step up. A Mitsubishi air conditioner/ heater was mounted above the TV. If you need a kettle, you can borrow one by the elevator on each floor. Downstairs, past the check-in counter, the lounge had an espresso, coffee, latte and cappuccino machine, creamer and gum syrup, tea bags, hot, plain and carbonated water from a tap, and a microwave. There was also a snack stand selling goods. The lobby game counter was a place to hang out, and tea and snacks were available to try during check-in hours. The front desk staff spoke some English, though we needed a little patience and sometimes Google Translate. I liked that there was an amenities cart in the lobby to pick things up from, especially the paper nail files. I booked directly through IHG and would consider other Garner hotels in the future.
