Hotel Kintetsu Universal City

There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, and the room was simple, clean, and comfortable for resting after a full day at the park. This hotel is especially handy for Universal Studios Japan, just a short walk from the entrance. You can get here by train or airport limousine bus. I took the bus straight from Haneda Airport last time, which was super convenient; the nearby station also makes getting around Osaka and traveling to other cities easy. Highly recommended for families.

We had four separate single beds, and even with all of them the room was spacious, with plenty of luggage space. The shower area and bathroom were spacious too. The room had no odor, and our stay was lovely. It’s an easy walk to the station and right inside the USJ complex, with lots of dining options below; I also loved the strawberry stand across the road. The kids got little Sesame Street themed gifts when we arrived, and the front desk had pajamas in kids’ sizes. I really loved staying here with my family of four and would definitely come back. I’d recommend it for USJ.

The staff worked hard to make our stay memorable, even though some had limited conversational English. It’s within walking distance of USJ and the JR station, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby, including Lawson and an ATM. There are two hotel restaurants, one serving Western food and the other Japanese. Yamato Transport is available at the check-in desk, where you can drop off luggage to be sent to another city within a day.

You’ll probably spend all morning and evening at USJ, so you don’t need a fancy hotel or fancy service. This no-frills place is in the best spot, right in the middle of Universal City, with lots of shops around.
