Ｔｅｒａｓｅ Ｈｏｕｓｅ

We stayed here as a family over Golden Week and found the hotel clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. Being close to the station made it a useful base for seeing Osaka, and coming back each day felt like returning home. I’ve already told friends about it and would gladly stay again if I get the chance. Thank you!

My partner and I lived here for two months. The neighborhood was incredibly peaceful, and Terase, the owner, was kind and ready to help, especially when we had an internet problem. He made us feel at home, welcomed us with drinks, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The location isn’t the best, though it is close to the Tanimachi Line. The best part was being able to stay together under one roof. All seven of us could drink, sleep, and even make bets without booking two rooms. We joked that we could’ve split up just to sleep, but after getting out of the military, we wanted to spend time together. Finding a place that let us do that felt like discovering hidden treasure. For the price, there wasn’t much I could complain about. We paid 24,000 won per person, and booking earlier might have brought it down to almost 20,000. The location worked better than I expected too. The Tanamachi Line goes through major tourist spots in Japan, and the last train is close to 12:30 AM, so we could stay out late. It also gave us a strong feel for local life. The owner’s care showed in the clean accommodation, the amenities, free bicycles, welcome snacks, and helpful replies during check-in. We didn’t meet the owner in person, so I didn’t get the usual hotel-reception kind of welcome, but I liked his attitude toward guests. He even said we could just roughly tidy up before leaving. A few things to keep in mind: the first floor felt a little cold, even with the air conditioner’s heat on, while the second floor was really warm. With four people or fewer, you could just use the second floor. For larger groups, maybe the losers of a darts bet could take the first floor. There were also a few worn or dirty spots here and there. It’s not a hotel, and I don’t tend to mind that sort of thing, but you may notice them. Getting around can feel tiring if you don’t enjoy walking back and forth, or if you want to drink a lot at a tourist spot. I’d recommend it more for five or more friends who want to get together, share drinks, and have a serious conversation. There are two restrooms but only one shower. The single shower was a bit inconvenient since everyone took their time washing, though we accepted it and it wasn’t that bad.
