Livemax Shin Osaka

We booked four nights, but only managed to stay one. The futons were so hard and the trains kept us awake. The room was run down, with mold in the bathroom and hair all over the sheets. When we asked for fresh sheets, they handed us a roller instead.

Reasonably priced.

A good hotel.

The convenient access from Shin-Osaka Station was a plus, but I won’t stay here again. I had planned to catch an early Shinkansen and ended up physically and mentally exhausted after a very loud night. The walls are thin enough that you can clearly hear what’s happening in neighboring rooms. There was some kind of dispute between guests and staff, apparently caused by a hotel mistake. The argument went on late into the night, then the police arrived, and the discussion carried on for hours. I could hear everything as if I were in the same room. The hotel’s response only seemed to make the commotion worse, and no one checked on or followed up with the neighboring rooms. A quiet night’s sleep is a basic part of a hotel stay, and I didn’t get that here. You run a high risk of getting unlucky with your neighbors, so I wouldn’t recommend this place if you have work or other important plans.
