Puku Puku Inn

A lovely spot to rest, very clean and comfortable, with everything provided. The station and a convenience store are nearby.

Suruhashi Station is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel, which suited me since I like walking. From Exit 5, head straight and you'll pass 5 convenience stores. There's also a takoyaki/okonomiyaki place with a small but generous and delicious portion of katsuobushi. I remember about 8 pieces, 300 yen each. It's a handy base for visiting different parts of Osaka over 2 nights and 3 days, though changing trains can be a little inconvenient. The owner is kind, and the thick blanket makes up for there being no floor heating. I really liked that they'd fill the bathtub for you.

The place is clean and so spacious that even a solo traveler might not make full use of the room. The bathroom, toilet, and living space are separate. It's close to Tsuruhashi Station on the map and near Koreatown, so it suits anyone looking to shop for Korean Wave-related items. Getting there is a bit of a challenge, but it's good value for the price.

The owner was warm and easy enough to talk with in English, and the accommodation itself was very good. The location could be more convenient, but the price felt reasonable compared with what we paid elsewhere in Japan. Great stay.
