We stayed in the Classico building, close to Shin-Osaka station. The hotel feels clean and modern, and the rooms are larger than average for Japan, which was great. Breakfast was a set Western meal, with three choices during our stay, plus a light Western buffet. You can use the self-service luggage storage on check-in or check-out day, and it’s all locked. There’s coin laundry as well.

The room was lovely, and the staff were nice. It’s right by ShinOsaka station, although getting to the Shinkansen involves a long walk. Despite being beside the tracks, it was quiet. I had trouble with my reservation because of the female-only floor, but one staff member kindly sorted it out. Breakfast could use more gluten-free choices and protein beyond eggs, since I’m gluten-free and don’t eat eggs. Some Japanese food options would be nice too. The soap smelled nice.

I’ve stayed here several times over the years when visiting Osaka, and was glad to find it had been refurbished with more spacious, thoughtfully designed rooms. The rooms are clean, and the reception staff we met were kind, friendly, and helpful. The main change I noticed was breakfast: it now leans continental, whereas it used to be more like a local Japanese breakfast. The hotel is also close to the train station, about a 5-7 minute walk from Shin-Osaka station’s East exit. I’d happily stay here again on a future Osaka trip.
