Toyoko Inn Shin Osaka Higashi Mikuni Station

I stayed for two weeks as a solo traveler and was happy with the choice. It’s very close to the Midosuji line, yet quiet. The place was very clean, the beds were comfy, breakfast was tasty, and the staff were really helpful 😎

The rooms were clean, though the bed was quite hard. Breakfast was included, with several Japanese and "Western" options. The staff were good, as usual in Japan, but nothing out of the ordinary. It’s in a great location, in a relatively quiet area with several conveniences close by.

The hotel offers good value for money, with plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within a five-minute walk. It’s within walking distance of Shin-saka station, though I’d take the metro, just one stop on the red line, if carrying large bags. The rooms were spotless and the beds really comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I was amazed when the kitchen staff came out to bow and thank guests after breakfast service ended, especially as a European tourist.

They even accepted and held an Amazon package I sent from japanese Amazon until I checked in. The staff were very kind, and the room was clean. You can let the hotel know in advance if you’ll have breakfast the next day, so they don’t prepare excess food that might go to waste. Rooms aren’t large, but that fits the price. The location is very good, a two-minute walk from Higashimikuni station, one stop from Shin Osaka.
