We could leave the car here and walk over to Tsugaike Kogen Ski Park in no time, which made everything really convenient. They were very kind to us too. A great place to stay for a ski visit.

The owner was so, so nice. We stayed eight nights. It’s about a minute on foot to the bell area lift and five minutes to the gondola station. You can get Tsukaike lift tickets here for less than at the windows. The dry room is huge, and there’s a drinks and beer vending machine plus a shared fridge in the lobby. The owner can also pick you up from or drop you at Happone bus terminal, just reserve in advance.

My family and I had a really enjoyable stay. The slopes are an easy, short walk away, and there’s a good room for keeping ski gear. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious.

A small, family-run hotel with hospitality that was hard to beat. This is the best small hotel I’ve stayed at in a Japanese ski resort, and honestly, I’d almost rather keep it a hidden gem.
