The location is the main drawback, since Zenibako and Hoshimi Stations are both over a 20-minute walk away. A cab from Zenibako is about ¥750. Still, C-Stage is worth another visit for me: ¥7,500 a night for two gets you a huge room with a king-size bed, a 40" TV, a roomy shower, a comfy couch by a big window, and a great view of the Sea of Japan. It's a love hotel, but also a really good hotel.

Make sure you have a backup if you book here ahead of time. My reservation, made a couple of months in advance, was canceled three weeks before my stay, so I had to find somewhere else at short notice.

My room had a view of the sea, which was nice 👌💕

There are restaurants right across the road, so getting food wasn't a problem even though it's a little far from the city center. The meals themselves weren't that great, though. The place has an old love hotel vibe, but it's been updated somewhat. Some rooms have DAM karaoke machines, while others have beer dispensers, which is pretty interesting.
