The location is great, just a three-minute walk from Seta Station, with convenience stores and restaurants close by. The room is on the small side, but clean and comfortable, and the beds are really fluffy. Amenities are included and replenished every day. Even if you don't ask, the staff leave a bag of them by your door daily. They were helpful too, even with the language barrier.

We had to switch rooms during our stay, and the staff let us leave our bags there during the day and return for check-in at 3 PM without any trouble. The English-speaking reception staff were kind and helpful, and both check-in and check-out were easy. A pleasant, comfortable stay at APA Hotel Biwako Seta Ekimae.

A very good hotel, thoughtfully set up for what guests need. The room and restroom were both lovely and practical. There's a small table, which we used for our luggage.

I've had some great stays at APA hotels in Japan, and APA Seta is definitely among the best. The room felt newer, and the service was great and helpful. It's right by Seta Station, with several convenience stores downstairs and AEON market about a five-minute walk away. As usual, APA provides plenty of toiletries, robes, slippers and other amenities. The pillows were great too, and you can buy them.

8/10
A useful budget place for a stay around Kyoto or Otsu. Kyoto station is only 17 minutes away, and Seta station on the JR Biwako line is right next door. It's a basic business hotel, and the staff try their best despite having limited English.
