Picture this: it's 1am, you’re at the Biwako house in kyoto, sitting beside lake biwa and looking across at the city lights on the other shore. With harbor lp playing and the boys there, it feels like a reset for your mind, body and soul.

A peaceful place.

It’s a big old wooden house, but there are only two bedrooms. The kitchen is there, though it’s infested with cockroaches. And whenever someone walks past, the whole house rattles.

The hosts are so honest, decent, and trustworthy. If anything goes wrong, you can count on them to help you. Their warmth and hospitality alone make the stay worthwhile.

It was comfortable, like staying at my grandmother’s house. There wasn’t a TV.
