Luana Hasunuma HOTEL&CAFE

We were welcomed by a very gentle, kind woman, and the president was helpful and just as kind. The stylish building and rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The dog run was spacious, and the attached cafe looked great and had plenty of room. The staff were friendly too. It's a whole different world from the cafes in Kitakaruizawa. The breakfast plate was tasty and healthy, and the beach is only a short walk away. Hasunuma Seaside Park is huge and lovely for a stroll. The toilets and air conditioning were high-end units. One night didn't feel long enough. I'd like to make this an annual visit.

The place has its own dog run, plus an indoor one, and there's also a large run at the cafe, so it feels wide open. The attached cafe serves breakfast, with plenty of local vegetables and a delicious quiche. The cafe becomes an izakaya on weekends, though it doesn't offer late-night snacks. There are several nearby restaurants where dogs are welcome, so eating out wasn't a problem. This was my second trip to Chiba, after usually going to Kanagawa for seafood. A friend suggested the hotel, and we stayed two nights. It's new, clean, and spacious, with kind staff and a comfortable room. The bathroom was small but fine. There's no elevator, so it's better to travel light and head straight to your room.

We already knew the cafe and dog run, and as soon as the hotel opened we booked a stay with our three dogs. Our ocean-facing Standard Twin room had an open layout and panoramic views of Kujukuri Beach. All of us, dogs included, were comfortable there. There are indoor and outdoor dog runs, so we could relax whatever the weather, and being close to the sea made morning and evening walks lovely. The hotel was clean and had lots of dog amenities. Food made with local ingredients was delicious, and the fried chicken at Izakaya Sashirou was especially good. The staff were kind throughout, and we made wonderful summer memories with the dogs. We'll be back.

A park and the beach are both an easy walk away, and we'd definitely come back for the location alone. The hotel was comfortable and had everything we needed, with dogs clearly a priority. The staff were so kind, and talking with them made their love for dogs even more obvious. We really enjoyed the attached cafe and izakaya. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it.
