I had a calm, uneventful six-day stay. The airport bus from New Chitose stops at the hotel entrance and costs 1400 yen for adults, less for kids. At the airport, the information desk pointed me to two places to catch it, and I made it in time. I didn’t have cash, so I tapped my credit card before boarding and again at the destination. Check-in was smooth. I’d accidentally booked a smoking room, but after ten seconds inside I couldn’t stand the smell. I ran back downstairs to ask for a non-smoking room, and a new one was ready within two minutes. To get to Susukino, walk about 4-5 minutes to the bus stop in front of the COOP store. Facing the hotel, look left for its giant green and white sign. The bus costs about 270 yen. They have a cleaning schedule on the third day of a stay, however long you’re there. At checkout, I took the same bus from the hotel entrance straight to New Chitose Airport for 1400 yen. The only issue was the thin walls. I could hear my neighbors and worried I might disturb them too.

A great choice if you’re driving, with free parking and plenty of space. The room was big, there’s a public onsen, and the buffet breakfast was very generous. Staff weren’t very good at English, but they were polite and helpful. Great value for money!

The buffet breakfast was a real letdown. It was held in what looked like an events room, with folding conference tables covered in disposable tablecloths, paper coffee cups, and tables packed so tightly it was hard to squeeze between them. It felt more like a noisy makeshift cafeteria than a restaurant. The photo only shows a third of the room; the rest was just as crowded and chaotic. The hotel was also too large and busy, with over 80 rooms on our floor and poor soundproofing. I could hear people walking past and children playing in the ground-floor spa even after 11 pm. The room itself was spacious enough for two and thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of sockets, clearly marked light switches, and the toilet separate from the bath.

We had a lovely stay. The staff were helpful and the service was good, and the onsen was relaxing. We also liked the restaurant. There was a bus stop nearby, so getting around from one place to another was fine.

My first time using APA. The room, onsen, and breakfast were all very good. It may be a little far from central Sapporo and the subway station, but that wasn’t a big issue since there’s a shuttle bus between this branch and another APA in central Sapporo.
