B&B Yoshida - Vacation STAY 12719

The owner was so kind and accommodating, and I felt at home in the guesthouse. It had such a warm, welcoming feel, and I slept really comfortably. The food was soooo gooood 💯 They even gave me a free ride to the train station ❤️ One of my most memorable stays in Japan!

I booked through Booking.com and left after just four hours. The people seemed lovely, but this is a review of the accommodation itself. The listing gave a misleading impression. I found out only after the free cancellation period had passed that there were so many house rules. I let that go, thinking that was the last surprise, but it wasn’t. On arrival, I asked about luggage storage, which the listing said was available, and was told they weren’t a hotel. The shared bathroom and toilet are on a floor below the rooms, contrary to what Booking.com said. There were also lots of charges for amenities that weren’t mentioned in the booking, so I went to the nearest shop to buy water. Four hours in, I took a taxi to a much better place in the city center for one-fifth the cost.

After a long travel day, I could unwind in the spacious room and bed, and the quiet surroundings helped too. The owners welcomed me along with their dog, Schnauzer, which made a lovely start to my first trip to Hokkaido. The morning coffee was excellent, and breakfast was tasty and filling. If you're visiting Moere Numa Park, it’s nearby, so this seems like a nice base for a relaxing couple of days. Thanks so much for the hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again if I get the chance.
