Communication with the owner was the hard part. Since contact was only by e-mail and not by phone, it was difficult while abroad, and there was no one on site to answer questions. That's not cool. We stayed three nights in the rooms of Casa Sorriso, and they were clean. On the rooms alone, I'd give it four stars or more.

It's basically a one-room apartment turned into accommodation, and it even has an elevator. They only provided towels and toiletries, with hardly any other amenities, so bring what you need yourself. Check-in and the other procedures are handled on a tablet. I think it'd suit long stays or travelers who know their way around.

The place was very clean, perhaps because it's newly built, and the toilet has a bidet. It felt rather like staying in an apartment. The emailed door code meant we didn't meet anyone from check-in through checkout. Towels were provided. There were also dishes, shampoo, laundry detergent, dish soap, and a sponge, though I'm not sure if those are always supplied. It had a home-like feel. Depending on the season, I think the price is reasonable when sharing with several people.

The check-in was a little awkward, and it'd be helpful if the room number and password were sent ahead of time. Aside from that, it was a very convenient place to stay, with a new, clean, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. There's a convenience store just down the next street.
