EFFECT Kikusui

The host was kind enough to refund the unused amount without hesitation when we had to check out a few days early for personal reasons. They were very responsive and easy to reach, and the location was fantastic. The place was small but perfectly formed.

It was quiet during my stay, and the cozy room had everything you'd expect. Though it was an unoccupied room, the host always replied to messages through the booking website. A FamilyMart, a large supermarket, and a subway station are all within a five-minute walk. The airport shuttle is a bit of a walk, though. I'd definitely stay here again if I come back to Hokkaido.

The kitchen setup was super convenient. There's a supermarket right outside the subway station, so I could pick up what I needed and cook right away. The very clean room had a gas stove, oven, microwave, and a double refrigerator. There was also a personal washing machine with detergent, which meant I didn't have to worry about running out of clothes on a multi-day trip. The TV was large, and if the double bed felt too small for two people, you could unfold the sofa for sleeping. I'd definitely stay here again if I come back to Hokkaido.

I chose this place because it was clean and close enough to the city center, and peak-season hotels felt overpriced and cramped. Since I had a rental car, the parking spots right outside and next door came in handy. It’s a new, unmanned property, so coming and going was easy. The air conditioner wasn’t working when I visited, which made the room a little hot, but it was manageable. This setup seems especially suited to longer stays. My main disappointment was that it was hard to communicate with the host through Agoda.
