Hotel Emion Sapporo

We had a great six-day stay as a family of three. The three-bed room was a little cramped, but the room was clean, the staff were friendly, and everything was within walking distance. Having an onsite 7-11 made grabbing snacks and drinks really easy. The price was reasonable and the location handy, close to the JR Station.

The staff were excellent and made the stay even better. We really liked the club level room: it’s on one of the top floors and includes access to the club lounge, with a separate breakfast and free snacks and drinks during cocktail hour in the evening. Get the breakfast option if you book, it’s worth it. Emion Sapporo is convenient for Sapporo station, about a 10-minute walk away, and there’s underground access so you can avoid the heat or snow. The one drawback is that it’s north of the station, so getting to downtown Sapporo proper takes longer. That didn’t bother us, but it may not suit someone who wants to be right in the middle of things.

The rooms are spacious by Japanese standards, and the onsen bath is a great value for hotel guests, especially for families with children. The JR station is a bit of a walk, but still reachable on foot.

The coin laundry needs 100 yen coins, or you can use the QR app. The rooms are comfortable, though the bathrooms are very compact, in the typical Japanese style. The hotel is right by Sapporo station, which connects to KIX airport. The service, including breakfast in the club, was excellent and had that Japanese style.
