The front desk was apologetic and helpful when we raised our concerns. They offered to move us and also honored our request to cancel and get a full refund. We’d booked for an affordable, convenient stay near Sapporo station, but the room had white stains across the cushion and sheets, and hair stuck to the wall. There were only three light sources, a lamp, bedside lamp, and toilet light, with no main room light. We were horrified when we checked in.

The location is near the train station, and you can hear the trains loudly. Inside, there was mold and dust, no overhead lighting, and the AC was broken. The staff service was bad, and the toilet seat was cold. They charge for the TV, though I didn’t watch it.

It’s a low priced, convenient place, with small but cozy rooms and a refreshing shower room. Just be aware that noise from the nearby train tracks can sometimes be distracting.

The staff were helpful, and the bedsheets and bathroom were clean, which I appreciated. Still, I’ve stayed in some pretty low grade places and never seen carpet this filthy and stained. There were also questionable marks on the duvet covers and wall. The hotel feels run down and needs a major refurbishment. It’s directly across from the train line, so trains are loud every few minutes until late at night.

If stained sheets are what you’re after, this place has love stains on them.
