There’s a vending machine in the hotel, so getting drinking water is easy. My room was comfortable and really spacious, which was great. I found an outlet near the floor to charge my phone, but the outlets on the desk didn’t work.

The room wasn’t properly prepared, with several essential items missing, and the front desk couldn’t provide even basic necessities when I asked. The manager also couldn’t communicate in English at a basic level, making simple requests difficult. For an international hotel, I think basic English should be a minimum. The staff weren’t unfriendly, but the communication gap and incomplete room supplies affected my stay a lot. I hope they improve staff training and check that rooms are equipped before guests arrive.

The way problems were handled felt unprofessional and lacking in respect for guests, which took a lot away from the experience. Communication was difficult because the manager couldn’t speak basic English, making even simple interactions inconvenient. The room was also missing essential items, and the front desk couldn’t fulfill my requests.

I asked for a non-smoking room, but the request was easily ignored, and smoke smells were noticeable everywhere. The bad odors were especially unpleasant for a non-smoker. Housekeeping seemed to have no SOP, and the staff weren’t friendly. As a front desk team, they should know basic English to communicate with guests from around the world. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Japan so far. It was my first trip to Hokkaido, and after this unpleasant stay with a hotel service provider that wasn’t friendly and seemed poor, it may be my last.
