Hotel Resol Sapporo Nakajimakouen

The lounge and desserts were a nice perk, especially for short breaks before heading back out. The hotel is also conveniently placed for public transport and nearby shops. I especially want to commend Yuto Sato and Miho Takada. During the New Year's period, most post offices were closed, and they went out of their way to help me find somewhere to mail my parcel. They even called to check and gave me detailed directions. I really appreciate it. Without their help, we probably wouldn’t have shipped the parcel in time. I had a very pleasant experience at Resol Hotel.

The staff were polite and did what they could. That’s the only positive I took away. I ended up cancelling my room and going down the street, where there were basic necessities and more. I don’t understand how other tenants haven’t raised this. The room had serious problems: the air conditioner only heated and couldn’t cool, and the windows were sealed shut. The air got stuffy and the heat became intolerable. They say skipping daily room cleaning is for the environment, but I don’t see how that helps the ecosystem.

My non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke, and the Level 6 corridor smelled of it too. The room was really tight, and the window wouldn’t open. Its temperature was preset to 24C heating, but it felt like 30C, hot enough to leave me sweating. I had to cancel the room and pay a penalty charge.

The room was very spacious, and as close to perfection as it gets. The comfy PJs and slippers were nice, and the onion soup sachet by the lobby coffee machine was really tasty. The free parfait is an interesting idea, but there’s a condition attached, which you can read about in the elevator. To cool the room down, you need to keep the window curtains open.
