Hotel Sunroute Sapporo

The room with three beds was a little tight for our family of three, but we had a great six day stay. It was clean, the staff were friendly, and we could walk everywhere we needed to go. Having a 7-11 on site made snacks and drinks incredibly easy to get. The price was reasonable and the location near JR Station was handy.

The staff were excellent and really added to our stay. We loved the club level room, especially the lounge access: a separate breakfast if you choose the breakfast option, plus free evening snacks and drinks during cocktail hour. The rooms are on the upper floors, too. Emion Sapporo is about a 10 minute walk from Sapporo station, with underground access that keeps you out of the summer heat or winter snow. Since it's north of the station, getting to downtown Sapporo proper takes longer on foot. That didn't bother us, though if you want to be right in the middle of everything, this may not be the spot. We highly recommend it.

The rooms feel spacious by Japanese standards, and the onsen is a great value for hotel guests, especially families with children. The walk to JR station is doable, though it is a little far.

The rooms are comfortable, though the bathrooms are very compact in the Japanese style. The coin laundry needs 100 yen coins or the QR app. The club breakfast and Japanese style service were excellent, and Sapporo station, with its connection to KIX airport, is just a very short walk away.
