You can get here from Shin Sapporo station without going outside, which is wildly convenient. There’s a convenience store on the second floor next to the hotel and a supermarket, coop, in Bivi. The hotel feels quite new, and everything still looks that way. The lounge is modern and stylish, with soft lighting that makes it comfortable. There are lots of teas, soups, and coffees by reception, plus a water cooler on the third floor. The public bath is also on the third floor. Too bad it isn’t a real hot spring, but it wasn’t too crowded on weekdays. On the first floor, you can use the coffee machine from check-in until around 11pm, and they also serve a detox drink. The machine is available again from 6:30 in the morning. The staff were nice enough, nothing out of the ordinary. I didn’t try breakfast here. It’s better than the major chain hotel I usually stay at for business.

The bathroom and public bath were both well thought out. We had a quiet, comfortable, spacious room with everything we needed for three nights.

The staff did try to help when we asked to move, and we were eventually given another room, but the air conditioning was a real problem. In the first room on the 9th floor, it made such a bad noise that we couldn't sleep. They initially said the hotel was full, then found us a room on the 6th floor. That unit was quiet, but even set to the lowest temperature it didn't cool the room at all, so I had to use my mini fan overnight just to get some air. The service itself was decent, but the air-con issue wasn't acceptable. We'd stayed at the same hotel in Hakodate a few nights earlier and had no trouble there.

Getting around from here was easy, whether by car or public transport, and BiVi mall and JR Shin Sapporo station are connected to the hotel by walkway. The rooms are clean and simple, and the front desk staff were helpful. There's no hotel parking, but you can use the neighboring building's lot via the walkway. With your ticket validated, parking costs 1000 yen per 24 hours, with one entry and exit. It worked well for exploring Sapporo and the surrounding area.
