Sapporo Stream Hotel

I only spoke with the staff at check-in and check-out, but both times they were friendly and helpful, with good English. The rooms were a nice size, had standard amenities, and offered a very good view. Everything felt clean and new, which makes sense given the hotel opened around 2024. Its Susukino location is fantastic, right at the famous Nikka billboard intersection. It can get noisy late at night, but you can reach the subway from inside the building and get to Sapporo Station without going outside, which is especially useful in cold weather. It was a little pricey for a pretty standard hotel, though the location, room size, and subway access make it hard to complain.

The room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely view. The staff were extremely helpful and genuinely lovely throughout our stay. We liked the hotel so much when we arrived that we considered extending the trip, and we'd definitely stay again. There's a big range at the breakfast buffet, and everything we tried was delicious. The hotel's own bar and restaurant were so good that we stayed in to eat and drink on days we wanted to relax. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel sits above a shopping mall full of shops, with the train station underground right outside. It was incredibly easy to get around.

This was my second visit to Sapporo Stream Hotel, which opened in 2023. The staff were friendly, helpful, and fluent in English, and I found the atmosphere pleasant. My room was clean and well maintained. The hotel occupies the upper floors, from the 7th up, of a shopping mall at Susukino Station. The mall has restaurants, food courts, a cinema, supermarket, and plenty of shops. From the basement, you can enter the underground shopping street and continue all the way to Sapporo Station. Breakfast on the 7th floor had lots of options, and premium room guests also have a separate breakfast venue on the 18th floor. Premium rooms are on the 16th and 17th floors. Their key cards give access to the onsen and exclusive lounge on the 18th floor. The onsen is only for premium room guests, and you can't pay extra to use it. I had an excellent stay and a fantastic experience. Highly recommended.

The location puts you right in the middle of everything, with shops and restaurants an easy walk away. The room was large by Japan standards, new, clean, well kept, and extremely comfortable. I liked the LP player and the selection of discs. I'd recommend booking a room with lounge access. You get free use of the spa and hot spring on the 18th floor until 1 am, plus city views and drinks in the lounge. The gym has limited equipment, but enough for a decent workout. The laundry room has five washer-dryers, and I never saw a line during my stay. Much better than Shibuya Stream Hotel.
