Hotel Green Selec

I had a pleasant stay. The room was quiet and clean, and the bathroom was a decent size. There are local places to eat nearby, too.

My room smelled like someone had been smoking, even though I had booked a non-smoking room. When I asked to speak with the manager, they never came, and after I left my cellphone number, they didn't call me either. I was charged $100/night when I was supposed to pay $50/night. This is the worst hotel I've stayed at in Japan. The website calls it a 3-star hotel, but to me it was closer to 1.5 stars, and it shouldn't charge more than $20/night. I wouldn't stay here. It felt like a scam, and a Hostel would be a better choice. Imagine if it was disappointing.

The room had cracks in the walls, everything felt very old, and there was a strange smell that meant I had to keep the window open. I paid 16,000 for one night, which felt far too expensive for the quality. It was difficult to communicate with most of the hotel employees, and although check-in is after 3, you have to leave early. I can't recommend it.

The staff were incredibly polite, even by Japan's high standards. The room was less comfortable: the bed was hard, with no padding over the springs, and the pillows were firm. The shower pressure was low, and with just 2 outlets in the room, charging our devices was a hassle. If you're mainly after the price and location, it could work for you. For comfort, I'd spend more on a nicer hotel.
