The private open-air bath in the room was a highlight. Being able to use the hot spring whenever I wanted was deeply relaxing. Meals were satisfying as well. Both breakfast and dinner had a nice balance of presentation and flavor, letting the ingredients come through without heavy seasoning. I stayed at “Kaichoro” in Ikaho Onsen while traveling in Gunma Prefecture. The whole place felt modern, clean, and carefully designed, without unnecessary excess. Its calm, refined atmosphere made it easy to unwind, especially for anyone looking for some quiet, quality time. The staff were polite and attentive, with a comfortable balance: neither intrusive nor distant. The atmosphere, service, food, and facilities all came together well. I'd confidently recommend this ryokan to anyone looking for a high-quality stay in Ikaho Onsen.

A top quality 5-star hot springs hotel, with a spacious room and its own garden. It was the only hotel I've stayed at that had two private toilets in the room.

The Japanese-style rooms were big and very clean, and the hotel had a really nice onsen and bath facility. There were lots of restaurants and a small party room, which I assume you can rent with friends.

Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, and the portions were generally generous. The rice was cooked a little firm, just how I like it. In late March, the underfloor heating kept the room warm and quiet, so I could leave the air conditioner off. It felt great underfoot throughout, even in the entrance and bathroom. The bath was set to 41 degrees Celsius, and being able to soak whenever I wanted in private felt like a real luxury.
