We held a small class reunion and study group here, and the spacious dining room made it easy to relax. There are several rooms, one bedroom plus Japanese-style rooms, as well as several bathrooms. It could work well for a training camp, too. You can bring ingredients for a barbecue, and there’s karaoke. The neighbors are far away, so you can stay up late without worrying about noise. One drawback was the hot spring bath: it’s so large that filling it takes a long time. There’s only one bath shared by men and women, and some people went to a nearby hot spring instead. Still, it’s handy that the place can host a large group.

Our family of about 20 goes every year over Obon. There are 7 rooms and a really roomy living room, plus a covered barbecue area with everything supplied except the ingredients. The bathroom is large and fed by hot spring water, and dogs are allowed. It’s a very convenient rental villa. Definitely worth trying at least once.

The place feels old, and the plumbing in particular is in terrible shape.
