Grand Foret

The restaurant served good food, and the rooms were clean with a good bed. A good hotel in a business area on Shikoku Island.

The restaurant in the lobby was excellent. The hotel itself is a bit old, but OK.

The breakfast buffet was surprisingly good, even though I'm not usually a breakfast person. All the staff were helpful, and having laundry detergent available was a big help. My only real gripe was that the microwave was on the third floor. I stayed for a long time, and while the hotel is a little far from the station, I could walk to two convenience stores and lots of izakayas. That made the stay comfortable. I came back for another extended stay, and I'm grateful for the continued kindness. This time my room faced the paper mill, but even with the window open, the smell wasn't particularly noticeable. I liked the city view and would definitely stay again.

I slept comfortably since I couldn't hear anything from the next room, and the free welcome drink was a nice touch. The room was a little dated, but clean, including the unit bathroom. The cold toilet seat bothered me. What frustrated me was check-in. They handed over the key without explaining any of the hotel facilities, which I found unhelpful. That's why I gave it 2 stars.
