Hotel Sato

good

We were very happy with our September stay with our dog. The breakfast buffet they rave about had lots of choices, and the room was clean with excellent dog amenities. Thanks to all the staff for being so kind to my son, our dog! You helped us come to love Shinhidaka Town, and we’ll definitely return if we get the chance.

I picked a Japanese-style room, but the bathroom door opened the awkward way. Since I don’t like going barefoot, I had to put on slippers just to open it, which was a hassle. I also wish they’d told me at check-in that the amenities were available to take, because I noticed they weren’t in the room. And for breakfast, could they serve tamagoyaki (rolled omelet) instead of fried eggs?

I stayed with my daughter while taking care of some business in Shizunai. The homemade breakfast was delicious and made me feel warm inside. Even my daughter, who usually eats very little, ate heartily. The breakfast voucher and receipt they handed us at check-in made me chuckle. Everyone we met, from the front desk and breakfast teams to the cleaning staff, was cheerful and made our stay pleasant. I stayed at a nearby sister hotel last year too, and recommend both.
