Hotel Hanatemari

The large public bath has been renovated, and I was able to relax there. The staff service was excellent too. The rooms are a little old, but the hotel is clean and convenient, close to Shirarahama Beach and a convenience store.

We had a relaxing Japanese-style room with an ocean view, and I'd like to stay here again. The hotel is quite old but well-maintained, and its location right in front of Shirahama Beach is fantastic. When we arrived, nobody was at this hotel's front desk, so we checked in at Hotel Sanrakuso. The road to the parking lot is a little narrow. There isn't a bath in the room. Hotel Hanatemari's 2nd floor connects to Hotel Sanrakuso's 4th floor, and the large public bath is on the 2nd floor of Hotel Sanrakuso. You can enjoy two kinds of hot springs there, and the projection mapping in the bath was impressive. Free water, tea, and coffee were available for relaxing after the bath. Going back and forth several times made it easy to lose track of which floor we were on. The room had a Western-style toilet with a bidet. The air conditioner made a little noise, probably because of the hotel's age, and it bothered me a bit. The next morning, someone was at this hotel's front desk. The person at Hotel Sanrakuso had been friendly, but this person seemed a bit unfriendly. Checkout is at 10am, but they let us keep the car in the lot until 12pm. We left early and had plenty of time to play at Shirahama Beach before heading home.

My Japanese-style room was so cozy~ (●´ω｀●). There's no bath in the room, but the hot spring in the large communal bath was so good that I didn't mind going there. I ended up going about three times, lol. The staff were amazing, and the stay was really comfortable. The beach is right next door too. Laundry is convenient. If you bring detergent, washing and drying are free!? (At the entrance to the main building.) The paid laundry costs 500 yen and only takes 100 yen coins, but it doesn't need detergent. You can see the ocean from the window. If you like finding places to eat and then cooking for yourself, this place is also recommended. There were a few inconveniences, but they didn't bother me. The staff and service were so wonderful that I'd like to try staying in the main building next time. Staying at Hanatemari without meals could be nice too, finding a restaurant I like, eating, drinking, and having fun. I'd like to come back.

The room has a fantastic view on a clear day, with Shirahama beach right in front, and it's a great spot for swimming. I stayed here during a trip to Wakayama. It's a second hotel to Sanrakuso, linked by a corridor on the second floor. The parking is separate, and getting there means driving along a rather narrow road, so be careful if you're in a large car (around 4.5m wide). It's a little older than Sanrakuso, and the room quality is lower, though it isn't dirty and the cleaning is done properly. The large public bath and relaxation room are at Sanrakuso, so getting around is a bit inconvenient, but that's unavoidable.
