HOTEL LiVEMAX Esaka

The location is really good, but the tatami room we took with our two kids, one baby and one toddler, was clearly dirty. We chose tatami to avoid accidents with the kids, then found dust everywhere and hair from previous customers. Disgusting. It didn't seem like the vacuum was working. I asked reception to clean the room on the second day, but they only did the visible areas. Behind the TV shelf and table it was still full of dust. I thought cleaning would be one of the most important things for a hotel, but apparently not at Livemax Esaka.

Everything else was OK. The bed is a little small for Caucasians to sleep together.

It's a small, budget hotel with small rooms. The great location makes it worthwhile.

I was here for two nights starting December 14, 2025. The room was roomy and comfortable, and being close to Esaka Station with plenty of shops nearby made everyday things easy. The coin laundry needs more upkeep, though. I went down to the first basement floor on the first night and was horrified to find around ten mosquitoes flying around, with cobwebs covering the wall corners. I could have put up with that, but the dryer was the real problem. After two 30-minute cycles, my laundry still wasn't dry. I asked the front desk, but they insisted nothing was wrong, so I ended up using a dryer at a nearby coin laundry.
