This stay made our trip special, truly the best hotel experience I've had. The owner was so nice. He printed the breakfast menu in Chinese for us and drove us to the entrance of our hiking trail. My friend left some things in the room, and he sent them to the station at the end of our hike.

The shared bathrooms were old, and the decor felt a little tired, though everything was clean enough. The nicest part was the lovely kitchen staff and the local ingredients. Dinner and breakfast were both cook-at-your-table shabu-shabu.

The dining staff were especially thoughtful. They did their best to speak with us in English and even printed English menus. We had some of the best hotel service we've experienced in Japan. The room and bathroom were spotless, and the food kept us full and happy every day. This lovely hotel made our time in Susami wonderful. Thank you so much!
