The location worked really well for me, just a 5-8 minute walk to the shopping street and restaurants. I stayed in room 101 for a week in this shared house, where the owners manage just four rooms. The common kitchen and washing machine are available to guests. Room 101 was small, but had what I needed: a hairdryer, 3-4 hangers, tissues, a TV, table and chair, a big comfortable bed, and several power outlets. There isn't a washroom in the room. You get your own washroom on the first floor and bathroom on the second. The bathroom is pretty small, so it could feel uncomfortable if you're bigger. The owner replied to messages quickly whenever I needed something. I usually went out after 11am, and cleaners came around 10:30am-12pm to collect used sheets and pillow covers for the washing machine. Seeing that made me feel reassured about hygiene. If I visit Takamatsu again, I'll stay here.

I picked this lodging for the location and had planned to spend evenings bar hopping around town, but the short-notice move meant it felt too far from where I wanted to go. I ended up missing out on that. The related lodging was a relief, though, since staying without those affiliated places would have been difficult. A facilities malfunction on the day meant we had to move to a related lodging, even though we'd booked multiple nights. They said it was under a four-minute walk, but it took seven. It was 600 meters south, while all my plans were north, so I walked 1.2 kilometers round trip each day and sometimes made that trip several times. That was more walking than I expected and tiring. The south side is much quieter, so I wouldn't recommend walking there at night for women. I definitely want to stay here next time.

The fourth-floor room was a renovated one-room apartment, with a balcony and a bathroom, shower toilet, air conditioner, TV, microwave, and refrigerator that all felt new. I had a pleasant stay. It had been renovated not many years ago. There's no elevator, though, and the narrow stairs can be hard to manage with heavy luggage. The room rate was cheap, so I can't complain.

The Kotoden Railway runs right alongside the building, so there's quite a bit of train noise while it's operating. I grew up beside the JR line, though, so it doesn't bother me. Rooms lock individually for privacy even though it's a shared house. Good value, and I'd give it 5 stars.

You can contact them on Line or WhatsApp after you arrive, so there's no need to make international calls. I thought I would have to, and it seems sensible to arrange a Korean phone line beforehand. The stairs really are narrow and steep. With a heavy suitcase or lots of souvenirs, they could feel like hell. Still, there's a separate bathroom on each floor, and the price makes it a great deal. It's clean and nice, right?
