The staff made my stay in Takatsuki memorable. There was a little trouble communicating in English at check-in, but they were well trained, worked through the issue, and helped me in many ways. I stayed at Takatsuki W&M dwelling a year ago and had a good time in the city. The price is reasonable, so I’d recommend it if you need a room in Takatsuki. I did sometimes smell smoke in the room, though, and I’m not sure whether smoking is prohibited there. If it isn’t, that may be fine, but it could bother guests who don’t smoke. Thanks to all the staff.

I went out for breakfast and found a traditional izakaya open from 6 a.m. The homemade hamburger set was enjoyable, and since it was quiet, I had a nice conversation with the staff. At the hotel, I appreciated finding cleansing products and lotion by the front desk. The room had plenty of old furnishings, but I came to see them as long-used, nostalgic pieces that are rare now. The shower and humidifier, by contrast, were new and easy to use.

The staff were friendly, the location was good, and I liked having breakfast available at the cafe. But for 9,000 yen a night, the sound carried far too much through the walls, about as badly as at Leopalace. I could hear people talking next door, the toilet, switches, and even the elevator announcements in the hallway. Earplugs barely helped. Maybe it’s fine if you leave early, but I wanted to sleep past 7 and ended up waking at 6 every day.
