Seaside Hotel Blue Moon

The owners really try to make you comfortable, and they're so helpful. They also serve delicious vegetarian dinners, which isn't something you can take for granted in Okinawa. The nearby beach is peaceful and usually quiet, and Urauchi river is easy to reach for canoeing, mangrove cruises, or jungle trekking. A gorgeous place to stay in Iriomote, and I'd definitely come back.

The beach right in front of the house is beautiful and empty, so nobody bothers you. It's wonderfully relaxing, and the owners are so nice. From the rooftop you can see the stars, the 123456789 Meridian, and bats. The food was amazing too. ❤

The owner and his family were warm and friendly, and I felt sure visitors would be welcome. My room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable even for someone 2 meters tall. I could keep drinks cold in the fridge and store my things in the safe. Breakfast came as a set meal on both days. It was tasty, though not a large amount of food. The coastline location is beautiful, with incredible views over breakfast, even though my room was at the back and didn't have a nice view. It was an easy walk from the hotel to the beach for better scenery. The weather was bad during my visit, but I still enjoyed the stay. The tap water sometimes took a long time to get warm enough for a hot shower, and my room's internet signal dropped out many times.

After checking out, I spent the whole day on the beach, relaxing and snorkelling. It was amazing, and the private beach and beautiful setting made this a great place to stay. The owners were kind and friendly, and the service was outstanding. I told them about my dietary needs, and they specially made delicious vegan meals for me. I was in a rush and didn't get to say goodbye, but thank you for everything. I'd love to return someday. :)
