There are karaoke and ping pong rooms, but you have to reserve a 30-minute slot. They also offered free-flow Asahi beer. The food was okay, and the onsen was so-so. There were no towels at the public bath, so you need to bring one from your room. The towel quality was cheap. The hotel staff at the car park made a bad first impression. He just stood there with a poker face, watching us struggle with our bags and luggage without offering any help. The room was warm despite the cold season, but the facilities were surprisingly old. The cabinets barely worked, a lamp was broken, and the desk was worn. The dirt-colored carpet made the room feel ten years older. The mattress was poor quality, though stiff enough for me. There was no mineral water in the room. For a weekend family trip, I think it's good value, but don't expect too much, especially from the rooms. There aren't many hotels around, so you may not have much choice if you want to stay near Shirakaba lake.

The crabs were too salty, and the bathroom and toilet were small and worn, though relatively clean. When we first got into the room, the toothbrush package was already open. They tried to remind people to wear masks and plastic gloves at the buffet, but many customers were walking around without masks, and staff missed it.

The buffet was good value, with beer, wine, and sake included for free. It's an old-style Japanese hotel, though it needs an upgrade.

I was quite satisfied with the hotel for the price, including the food. Some wear and tear was noticeable, and a few areas seemed untouched. Inexpensive repairs would make the place look better. I also had no complaints about the staff's attitude. I stayed the night before climbing a mountain. The room was clean and spacious, with a twin bed and Japanese-style room, even though I was on my own. There was some visible wear, but nothing I minded. The bath felt small for a hotel this size, and the lockers and other parts were clearly worn. The breakfast and dinner buffets included alcohol at a surprisingly low price, so I added both meals to my overnight stay. I was happy with the food for what it cost, though it shouldn't be compared with more expensive places. Breakfast starts at 7:00, which isn't as early as at business hotels, so I couldn't make it.
