Getting in is a little indirect: the hotel is behind Amico department store, across from Tokushima train station. Walk through the store to the far side of the building to find the entrance. My room was quite large, and I liked that the bed wasn’t soft. The sound carries, though. I could hear people talking, walking, and passing by.
10/10
We were there for one night after completing the 88 Buddhist temple on Shikoku. The breakfast was a real pleasure, with plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians. The location was very good, and the staff were warm and helpful. Despite the language barrier, the young man at the front desk tried to find ferry timetables for us. They deserve an extra star for that. I warmly recommend the hotel. Thank you!
10/10
With luggage, it’s about a five-minute walk. We drove, and the car park is in a different building. The walk is around ten minutes.
6/10
The staff were courteous and helpful, but there was just one physical key for the two of us sharing the room. It’s a basic hotel fairly near the main station. The rooms looked small and tired, and the bathroom had mould by the doorway and worn fittings.
10/10
The bad reviews had made me a little wary, but my stay was perfectly fine. The room was clean, with no bad smell, and Tokushima Station was surprisingly close. Soundproofing seemed weak. It didn’t bother me much, but your mileage may vary.
