Shoko san took very good care of me during my two nights here, and the paddling community was great. The rooms and toilets were spacious and clean. The train station is just a minute away, with a bus stop to the shrine across the road. You can also easily get to Mitake river across the road, and the sound of the river and birds comes right into the room.

Strongly recommended for boulderers. The staff speak English very well. There aren’t any convenience stores or markets nearby, but you can ask the staff to drive you there, or use the small goods shop upstream from mitake station.

The room owner was kind and gave us helpful guidance for our trip. They speak English, too. I really enjoyed the stay at A-yard, especially the nice room and its beautiful view of Mitake mountain. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Everything else about the stay was great, but I found a huge roach in the room. It could've been a bit cleaner. Still, it wasn't a bad stay.

The location was convenient, the rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly. The ofuro was a plus. One thing that bothered me was the emergency light outside the room, it cast a strong green glow into the room.
